Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop a daily routine consistent with the needs of the children.
- Plan and carry out daily lesson plans, including individual and group instruction, to meet the goals and objectives in each child's IEP. Submit plans to the Director for review weekly.
- Implement well-planned daily activities using diverse learning opportunities across classroom centers.
- Evaluate student performance to determine educational needs and participate in team meetings to develop IEPs, addressing areas such as Cognitive, Speech/Language, Motor Skills, Self-Help, and Socialization.
- Complete required paperwork timely, including educational reports, IEPs, and progress updates.
- Review educational goals to ensure continuity in classroom activities.
- Participate in team case conferences to review and update intervention strategies.
- Maintain professional communication with parents regarding their child's progress and needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- New York State Education Department certification in Special Education (Birth-2).
Additional Requirements:
- Fingerprint Clearance (Department of Education).
- New York State Central Registry Clearance.
- Annual Medical Clearance.
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
