Principal Responsibilities:

1. Develop a daily routine consistent with the needs of the children.
2. Plan and carry out daily lesson plans, including individual and group instruction, to meet the goals and objectives in each child's IEP. Submit plans to the Director for review weekly.
3. Implement well-planned daily activities using diverse learning opportunities across classroom centers.
4. Evaluate student performance to determine educational needs and participate in team meetings to develop IEPs, addressing areas such as Cognitive, Speech/Language, Motor Skills, Self-Help, and Socialization.
5. Complete required paperwork timely, including educational reports, IEPs, and progress updates.
6. Review educational goals to ensure continuity in classroom activities.
7. Participate in team case conferences to review and update intervention strategies.
8. Maintain professional communication with parents regarding their child's progress and needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• New York State Education Department certification in Special Education (Birth-2).

Additional Requirements:

• Fingerprint Clearance (Department of Education).
• New York State Central Registry Clearance.
• Annual Medical Clearance.

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
