Sage International School – Middleton, a public school of choice, is seeking applicants for a FULL TIME Special Education Teacher position for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Description:

Successful candidates will provide students with a comprehensive instructional program aimed at enhancing academic knowledge and skills, while promoting social and citizenship development through leadership and classroom supervision.

Preferred:

Experience working with special education students and collaborating to support the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) needs in a public school setting.

Qualifications:

  • Meet district, state, and federal requirements for special education services; understand relevant policies, procedures, and regulations; maintain proper documentation
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations for eligibility and program planning
  • Facilitate meetings with parents, school team members, and other personnel; follow up on actions and outcomes
  • Communicate regularly with families and students via phone, email, conferences, and written documentation
  • Collaborate with K-12 special education staff and related service providers
  • Utilize and supervise support personnel; delegate duties and monitor effectiveness; provide training as needed
  • Support classroom teachers with instructional and behavioral strategies; work effectively as part of the school team
  • Manage cases as assigned; implement prevention activities and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Plan, monitor, and assess student growth and learning
  • Participate in ongoing professional development
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

Salary is competitive and based on experience, career ladder placement, and the Sage Salary Schedule.
