Job Description

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Kenmore Middle School.

Responsibilities
  • Implement instructional programs that meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians.
  • Maintain complete and accurate student records.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members.
  • Monitor and assess student achievement.
  • Attend ongoing professional learning and meetings.
Experience
  • Teaching experience in the areas mentioned above.
  • Knowledge of best instructional practices.
  • Ability to integrate technology.
  • Experience in educational and instructional leadership.
Qualifications
  • Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
  • Special Education endorsement.
  • Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
