Job summary

AIR's Learning Supports program area seeks a Tennessee-based, part-time Special Education Technical Assistance Associate to deliver evidence-based professional development, coaching, and technical assistance to strengthen special education services and outcomes for students with disabilities at local, state, and federal levels.

The TA Associate will apply IDEA knowledge and effective instructional practices, and develop implementation resources for educators across Tennessee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree.
• At least two years of special education teaching experience or experience supporting professional development and coaching projects within an educational organization.
• Knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and related special education requirements.
• Experience delivering virtual and onsite professional development and coaching to local educators in Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination and delivery of technical assistance to clients, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and tracking project timelines.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates, gather information, and address inquiries.
• Support the preparation and distribution of project reports, presentations, and other deliverables.
• Maintain and update project documentation and client records.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of project tasks and deliverables.
• Assist in the development and implementation of client service processes and procedures.
• Provide administrative support for client service activities, including data entry, filing, and document management.
• Monitor and report on project progress and client feedback.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall client service strategy.
