Job summary

Osseo Area School District ISD 279 seeks a dedicated educational support professional to assist in the special education classroom under the supervision of the District’s Special Education Coordinator. You will work with individuals or small groups, help implement interventions, collect data, and participate in IEP conferences while ensuring student safety and confidentiality.

Prior experience with adaptive equipment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework or equivalent (Minnesota standard).
• AA/AS/AAS degree satisfies the minimum qualification.
• Passing ParaPro Assessment within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Assist District Behavior Specialist with behavioral interventions.
• Support teacher and ESPs in interventions and data collection.
• Observe, collect, document and report data as requested.
• Carry out the special education goals and objectives of students.
• Participate in IEP conferences as requested.
• Ensure vulnerable students are adequately supervised.
• Operate adaptive equipment safely.
• Mentor ESPs in areas assigned by the District’s Special Education Coordinator.
• Participate in staff team meetings when requested.
