Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Paraprofessional (Special Education) at Mascenic Regional High School to support students with disabilities under IEP guidance. You will work closely with certified teachers to address instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional needs in the classroom.

Responsibilities include data collection, small-group supports, testing assistance, and collaboration with teachers and parents. On-site attendance and ongoing professional development are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience with special needs children desirable.
• Must obtain state paraprofessional certification within the first year.
• Commitment to staying current with methods and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist on IEP goals and supports in the classroom.
• Provide small group or individualized support per IEP.
• Assist with activities of daily living to maximize participation.
• Collect instructional and behavioral data.
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Communicate with teachers about student issues and with parents.
• Assist during standardized testing.
• Monitor student movement in school.
• Assist with safe transitions between locations.
• Support assistive technology devices as needed.
• Engage in professional learning opportunities.
• Attend CPI training and district-required training.
• Maintain prompt, regular on-site attendance.
• Follow safety rules and confidentiality.
• Foster independence, socialization, self-esteem.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
