Applitrack in Medford, MA is hiring a paraeducator to assist teachers and support students within the special education program. You will reinforce learning, adapt activities under supervision, and help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Baccalaureate degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Provides/adjusts classroom activities and materials under supervision to support objectives.
• Monitors student work, scores papers and assessments, and supervises testing and makeup work.
• Serves as a source of information and help to substitute teachers in absence of regular staff.
• May substitute for absent teacher with pay differential.
• Performs clerical, classroom, and instructional duties as assigned.
• Alerts licensed staff to any problems or information about a student.
• Supervises students during lunch, play, and field trips.
• Performs non-instructional duties like snack time, toileting, and clothing routines.
• Demonstrates confidentiality of student information.
• Participates in in-service training programs.
• Administers first aid and medical assistance as instructed by staff.
• Assists medically fragile students with personal care tasks.
• Maintains safe working environment; adheres to safety policies.
• Performs other duties as directed within the scope of job description.
• Supports integration of students with special needs as determined by IEP.
