Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Support Staff/Special Education Assistant at Methuen High School to assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction of classroom teachers. Responsibilities include carrying over therapy routines, data collection, and supporting IEP implementation, with emphasis on behavior monitoring and academic support.

The role may involve toileting assistance, lifting, positioning, and safe transfer of students, plus support for communication devices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience working with children or students.
• Experience assisting in program implementation.
• Ability to work with professional staff.
• Experience or preparation may substitute for other qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support students with disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settings.
• Assist with behavior plan implementation as needed.
• Provide academic support as needed.
• May assist with toileting and feeding needs.
• Monitor attention, work completion and social navigation.
• Perform duties as assigned by school administration.
• Other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher.
