Marana Unified School District is seeking a dedicated aide to support students with disabilities within the IEP framework. The role includes tutoring, self-care assistance, and collaboration with certified teachers to enable academic progress.

The position involves medical tasks under licensed supervision, data maintenance for Medicaid, and active participation in IEP-related meetings. A valid CPR/First Aid certification and CPI-trained candidate are preferred.

Formación

• Knowledge of techniques and methods for working with persons with disabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated general proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsabilidades

• Provides a safe and supportive environment so students with special needs may fully access their education.
• Accompanies and assists students throughout the school day as necessitated by the IEP.
• Provides academic tutoring/remediation, 1:1 or in small group settings under the direction of a certified teacher.
• May transcribe instructional materials into Braille as needed.
• Assists and trains students in self-care including feeding, hygiene, dressing, mobility.
• Performs medical tasks under the direction of licensed providers including CPR and related duties.
• Maintains required records and Medicaid billings.
• Performs administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
• Schedules and contacts parents for IEP, CST, and MET meetings.
• Assists with proctoring state testing.
