Marana Unified School District is seeking an aide to support students with disabilities under IEP guidance across the school day. Responsibilities include tutoring, assistance with self-care tasks, and collaboration with licensed staff to implement goals.

The role involves medical tasks under supervision (e.g., catheterizations, tube feeding) when required, with record-keeping and Medicaid billing duties. A high school diploma and valid CPR/First Aid are required.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required (online training not accepted).
• CPI certification within 6 months of employment.
• AZ Driver’s License required.
• Finger Print Clearance required.
• Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that meets minimum requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Provide a safe and supportive environment so students with special needs may fully access their education.
• Accompany and assist students throughout the school day as necessitated by the IEP.
• Provide tutoring/remediation, 1:1 or small groups under a certified teacher.
• Transcribe instructional materials into Braille as needed.
• Assist with self-care activities (feeding, hygiene, dressing, mobility).
• Perform medical tasks under licensed medical providers (nurses/doctors) including catheterizations and tube feeding.
• Maintain required records and Medicaid billings.
• Perform administrative/clerical duties (typing, filing, data entry).
• Assist with organizing activities, scheduling events, processing paperwork and related tasks.
• Assist with instruction of groups and monitor behaviors; support teacher with modifications.
• Assist with informal testing/monitoring of objectives (sight words, math facts, etc.).
• Proctor state testing; may grade student work and record goals/grades.
