Job summary

Marana Unified District is seeking a paraprofessional to support students with disabilities and assist with IEP-related services within the academic setting. The role includes 1:1 or small group tutoring, assisting with self-care and basic medical tasks under licensed supervision, and maintaining records for Medicaid billing.

The position emphasizes collaboration with certified teachers, documentation, and scheduling of IEP/CST/MET meetings. Reports to Exceptional Student Services.

Qualifications

• Requires CPR/AED/First Aid certification (in-person).
• Able to obtain CPI certification within 6 months of employment.
• Arizona Driver's License and fingerprint clearance required.
• Must meet minimum requirements via any equivalent combination of training/education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive environment for students with disabilities.
• Accompany and assist students during the school day per IEP.
• Provide tutoring/remediation in 1:1 or small groups under a certified teacher.
• Transcribe instructional materials into Braille as needed.
• Assist with self-care tasks including feeding, hygiene, dressing, mobility.
• Perform medical tasks as directed by licensed medical providers.
