Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools in Missouri is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support students with IEPs in general and special education locations under the direction of a special education teacher. Duties include assisting with classroom tasks, recording grades, preparing instructional materials, and administering accommodations.

You will also supervise students on the bus, during lunch and recess, implement IEP accommodations, participate in trainings, and maintain confidential

Qualifications

• Knowledge of childhood growth and development and behavior management.
• Ability to perform basic clerical tasks and communicate effectively.
• Ability to follow instructions and work professionally with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assists special education teachers with classroom duties and prepares instructional materials.
• Records grades, administers testing accommodations, and documents progress as directed.
• Supervises students on the bus and during lunch/recess per IEP requirements.
• Implements accommodations in a child’s IEP and provides clerical support as needed.
• Participates in training and supports students' personal care and health-related needs.
