Job summary

Susan B Anthony Elementary in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Rise Special Education Support Professional for 0.875 FTE. The role supports students with disabilities, provides personal care and behavioral support, and assists with 1:1 and small-group instruction under a teacher or therapist.

The position offers a starting wage of $20.42 per hour, a $2 differential, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Work days are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid break, and a nine-month

Qualifications

• Two years of post high school education or pass SD state test for Education Assistant positions.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities or behavior management.
• Must pass pre-employment physical; safety competency review yearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in accessing transportation.
• Provide personal care to students per safety competencies.
• Support 1:1 and small group instruction in special education classroom and/or regular classroom.
• Work with students in schools and in community sites.
• Prepare instructional materials as directed by teacher.
• Reinforce instructional/behavioral objectives as directed by teacher/therapist.
• Maintain student records and progress notes.
