Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a dedicated aide to support students with disabilities in completing IEP-related services and accessing education. You will accompany students, provide tutoring, assist with self-care, and help document progress under the supervision of licensed staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with assessments, recording data, coordinating with teachers, and supporting administrative tasks. A High School diploma and CPR/First Aid certification are required; AZ driver’s license is

Qualifications

• Knowledge of techniques for working with persons with disabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic admin.
• CPR/First Aid knowledge or certification.
• AZ Driver’s License and CPI certification within 6 months if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive environment for students to access education.
• Accompany and assist students throughout the school day per IEP.
• Offer tutoring/remediation in 1:1 or small groups under a certified teacher.
• Transcribe instructional materials into Braille as needed.
• Assist with self-care activities (feeding, hygiene, mobility).
• Support with Medicaid billing and related record-keeping.
