Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools seeks a dedicated instructional aide to provide 1:1 support to students with physical or intellectual disabilities. You will assist teachers with instructional duties, prepare materials, and help manage behavior.

You will collect data on progress, reinforce language and daily living skills, and operate classroom tech. This is a 10-month position (187 days) with a 7-hour day and non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a teacher aide or working with children.
• Ability to work under teacher supervision and follow lesson plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher by performing instructional duties and preparing classroom materials.
• Provide individual instructional support across cognitive, speech and language, and motor areas.
• Collect and record student data such as skill practice and toileting.
• Operate computer and audiovisual equipment in the classroom.
• Supervise learning centers during independent student work.
