Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a teacher aide or with children preferred.

• Physical ability to lift and assist students.
• Good human relations, communication skills, and patience.

Responsibilities

• Collects and records student data as directed.
• Provides discipline in the absence of the teacher and follows established procedures.
• Implements behavior modification plans.
• Assists with language activities and reads to students to stimulate development.
• Supervises learning centers and assists students with materials.
• Participates in classroom activities and discussions.
• Operates classroom tech like DVD, data projector, or smartboards.
