The Sun Prairie Area School District is seeking a Substitute - Support Staff/ Permanent SEA Substitute for Westside Elementary. The role supports teachers in meeting the needs of students with disabilities and assists with IEP/504 goals, data collection, and instructional support.

Responsibilities include small group and one-on-one instruction, facilitating accommodations, and ensuring a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with technical training in special education, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
• DPI certification provided by employee.
• CPR, non-violent crisis intervention, and first aid certification.
• Must meet NCLB standards for two years of study, an associate's degree, or equivalent demonstration of ability to assist in reading, writing and mathematics.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Maintains a safe learning atmosphere for students to enable them to meet or surpass their capabilities.
• Supports and facilitates all IEP/504 goals/plans set by IEP/504 Teams and collects related behavioral and academic data.
• Facilitates inclusion of students in the classroom or community and promotes acceptance of differences.
• Leads small groups and one-on-one instruction under the guidance of a teacher.
• Facilitates student accommodations on assignments and tests.
• Provides student supervision across all educational environments.
• Follows directives from the special education contact teacher and can independently make decisions to meet students' needs.

Formation
