Job summary

The Sun Prairie Area School District is seeking a full-time instructional aide to assist teachers in meeting the comprehensive needs of students with disabilities within the educational environment. The role runs 7 hours per day (7:25 am - 2:55 pm), Monday through Friday during the school year, with benefit eligibility and paid time off.

You will support IEP/504 goals, supervise students, prepare materials for substitutes, and assist with health procedures after training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant training in special education.
• DPI certification and safety certifications required or provided by the district.
• CPR, non-violent crisis intervention, and first aid certifications.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing and mathematics as required.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe learning environment and support IEP/504 goals.
• Lead small groups and one-on-one instruction under teacher guidance.
• Assist with student accommodations on assignments and tests.
• Provide student supervision across educational settings.
• Prepare notes and materials for substitutes; document health data as needed.
• Assist with health procedures and basic first aid after training.
