JOB OVERVIEW:

Provide differentiated instruction with a variety of assessments in an environment conducive to learning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires an LBS1 Endorsement.
• Complete/submitted online application, resumé, and letters of recommendation as required.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License or other required license.
• Experience teaching the specific class or relevant coursework/student teaching considered.
• Foreign language skills are preferred.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrate knowledge of content and learning standards.
• Create a classroom climate conducive to learning.
• Utilize instructional management systems.
• Differentiate instruction and monitor student progress.
• Supervise assignments for assistants and volunteers.
• Maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
• Meet professional responsibilities as outlined in the Staff Handbook.
• Pursue professional development for license renewal.
• Maintain professional work habits.
• Communicate effectively within the educational community.
• Maintain your Professional Educator License as required by law.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO PUPIL SERVICES:

• Serve as a specialist to the education and Pupil Services teams.
• Supervise assignments for Program Assistants.
• Prepare and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) annually.
• Maintain accurate documentation per federal, state, and district timelines.
• Collect data reflecting student growth related to IEP goals.
• Participate in school-related duties as assigned.
