Job summary

Independent School District 196 is seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher (1.0 FTE). You will deliver instruction aligned to district curriculum and develop culturally responsive practices to promote equitable outcomes for students with disabilities.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, implement IEPs and Behavior Support Plans, and support emotional regulation and social-emotional skill development in a least restrictive environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Education in ABS, ASD, EBD, DD, or LD (Dual licensure preferred).
• Experience working with diverse cultures, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Growth mindset with ability to accelerate growth in academic and social/emotional skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach curriculum for District 196.
• Collaborate to plan, teach and support students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment.
• Advocate for students to ensure high levels of achievement.
• Promote collaboration with staff, parents and professionals.
• Deliver instruction using diverse instructional techniques and media.
