Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • California teaching credential aligned to the position.
  • English Learner (EL) Authorization.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons for learners with different assets.
  • Knowledge of California State Common Core Standards.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; SSFUSD does not sponsor.

Responsibilities

  • Providing resource support and differentiating instruction for students with special needs.
  • Providing direct instructional services for approximately 80% of assigned student contact time.
  • Coordinating special education services with the regular school program and monitoring IEP implementation.
  • Consulting with school psychologists and other specialists to coordinate support services.
  • Assessing student progress regularly and adjusting short-term objectives as needed.
  • Collaborating with teachers and school leaders on daily lessons and school-wide programs.
