Job summary

Clayton County Public Schools is seeking a Program Specialist - Special Education (Speech) to support IEP development and compliance for students with speech disabilities. The role partners with teachers and administrators to ensure quality speech services and aligned instructional programs.

You will work under the Director of the Department of Exceptional Students, travel to school sites, and contribute to district strategic initiatives while ensuring adherence to IDEA and ESSA requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in special education or speech-language pathology is required.
• GaPSC Certification Level 5 in Special Education or related fields is required; Educational Leadership certification is preferred.
• Minimum of three years teaching or related educational experience with students with disabilities is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with others to meet special education performance and compliance goals.
• Provide support with IEP plans including evaluation, monitoring, and implementation.
• Monitor compliance with timelines and federal/state regulations to ensure access to the general education curriculum.
