Qualifications

• Certification requirements: Special Education General Curriculum & all five content areas (GACE 081/082 + 087/088 for P-8; High School is Special Education General Curriculum)

Responsibilities

• Participates in IEP conferences including behavior management plans, placement, and annual reviews.
• Develops strategies for an effective learning environment and uses diverse instructional techniques.
• Provides diagnostic testing, identifies student capabilities and monitors progress.
• Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law, CCPS, and GaDOE policies.
• Communicates with parents individually or in small groups.
• Consults with appropriate professional staff regarding a student educational program.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
