Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education or related field.
• Master's degree in related field preferred.
• At least three years of teaching experience or related educational experience providing services to students with disabilities in an educational environment.
• Requires Georgia Educator’s Certificate in Special Education or related field; Educational Leadership certification is preferred.
• Analytical: ability to review objectives and exercise independent judgment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, families, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Recommends, monitors, and supports instructional and behavioral strategies in the learning environment for students with disabilities.
• Provides support to teachers and school administrators in implementing high‑quality instructional programs to improve student achievement.
• Ensures alignment of curriculum standards with IEP goals and plans collaboratively with school personnel.
• Serves as a liaison to schools and parents in identification, evaluation, and placement of students with disabilities.
• Follows federal program components to ensure IDEA and ESSA compliance.
• Drives professional learning on instructional techniques, compliance, and interventions.
• Supports paraprofessionals in developing their work and monitoring progress.
• This is a 200‑day position.
