Ascension Parish School Board is seeking a Program Facilitator to assist students with special needs and provide professional development, training, assessments, consultations and technical assistance to teachers and families.

The role supports coordination with the Director of Special Education and school staff to implement educational plans, monitor progress, and provide guidance on interventions and behavior strategies.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate required.
• Certification in one or more areas of special education required.
• Three years of successful school experience required.

Mansioni

• Observes and assesses students for concerns as expressed by teachers, parents and staff.
• Gathers information and data pertinent to the student’s area of concern.
• Complete assessment/consultation reports accurately and within timelines.
• Interpret and present results clearly to school personnel and parents.
• Collaborates with teachers to develop plans and participates in conferences with staff and parents.
• Attends and participates in meetings with school and family team members.
• Prioritizes and addresses requests professionally to develop cooperative relationships.
