Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education with special education certification.
• Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate.
• Additional criteria the Board may require.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement specially designed instruction to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
• Develop and implement an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for students annually.
• Deliver IEP services in collaboration with SPED staff, general educators, and service providers.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate with families on student progress toward IEP goals.
• Complete reports and required paperwork accurately and timely per guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all regulations regarding services to students with disabilities.
