Springfield Public Schools in Western Massachusetts are seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support a small caseload of students with moderate to severe needs, under the guidance of an experienced special educator.

The role emphasizes rigorous academic and behavior interventions, high expectations, and close collaboration with families and teachers. A pathway through our Para to Teacher Pipeline and robust professional development are offered.

Formación

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong public speaking skills.
• High-school diploma or GED.
• Sixty (60) Credit Hours of College Coursework or an Associate's Degree or a passing score on ParaPro/WorkKeys.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.
• Work Keys: Reading 5, Math 4, Writing 3.

Responsabilidades

• Work alongside an experienced special educator to support a small case load, driving academic achievement for students with moderate to severe needs.
• Implement an effective, rigorous academic and behavior intervention system for a small caseload.
• Provide consistent and high academic and behavioral expectations.
• Support student mastery of state, city, and school standards.
• Lead daily individual and small group tutoring sessions.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
