Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must meet physical requirements.
• Must meet general qualifications of a paraprofessional.
• Must have experience working with special education students.
• Team-based approach to support physical and emotional needs of students with disabilities in a highly structured setting.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices for students with ASD.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must meet Federal 'Highly Qualified' requirements and State standards (ETS Parapro assessment and/or Associate's Degree).
• Excellent attendance and punctuality required.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Principal and Teacher and as part of a team to satisfy the needs of the students.
• Assist students with lunch, snacks, toileting, and other school activities. Other such duties as assigned.
