Job summary

Qualifications

• Must meet paraprofessional requirements: 60 college credit hours or an associate degree or paraprofessional certificate.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
• Apply common sense in following instructions written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing students' IEPs under teacher direction.
• Support individual or small group instruction; reinforce lessons.
• Participate in behavior management and implement behavior plans.
• Escort and supervise students during arrivals, departures, and transitions.
• Collect, chart, and report student performance data to teachers.
• Perform general clerical tasks and maintain student records.
• Provide ABA therapy as appropriate and participate in related staff development.
