New Braunfels Chamber is seeking an Educational Aide to support students with disabilities inside and outside the classroom. You will assist with self-help, behavior management, and instructional program integration under supervision of the PPCD teacher.

Responsibilities include helping prepare instructional materials, maintaining a neat classroom, handling records, and supervising students across lunch, bus, and playground duties. Prior experience with children is preferred.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate required.
• Two years of college or an associate’s degree or equivalent education/assessment to assist reading, writing, and math.

Responsabilidades

• Assist disabled students with significant behavior challenges.
• Support PPCD programs district-wide as needed.
• Help prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teacher with administrative records and reports.
• Maintain documentation on student progress.
• Adapt to each student’s medical, physical, communicative and emotional needs.
• Work with students or small groups on instructional activities.
• Supervise students during lunch, bus, and playground.
• Inform teacher of special needs or problems.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Attend staff development, meetings, and events as assigned.
• Supervise Pegasus students outside school hours.
• Collaborate with PPCD teacher to evaluate after-school activities.
• Maintain district records and learn retention schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.
