• Must have ability to work with children with disabilities.
• Must follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of general office equipment.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help keep administrative records and reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Assist students with physical disabilities including transfers and positioning as needed.
• Help manage behavior and respond to crisis situations.
• Adapt learning activities to each student’s needs.
• Supervise students during the school day, inside and outside the classroom.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in staff development.
