Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree or 48 semester hours/72 quarter hours or passing the Para Pro Assessment to be Highly Qualified.
• Ohio Educational Aide Permit required.
• STNA Certification preferred.
• Must have high moral character and genuine interest in children/youth.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities and provide physical support.
• Adapt to individual social, emotional, and academic needs of students.
• Support teachers with behavior management and instructional activities.
• Record student progress and report to teachers as required by IEPs.
• Prepare, collect and adapt instructional materials and manage equipment.
• Assist with self-care activities and supervise students as directed by teachers.
• Participate as a team member and communicate effectively.
