Job summary

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District seeks a paraprofessional to assist with the needs of disabled students, providing physical support and instructional assistance. You will work under the direction of teachers to reinforce learning, monitor progress, and implement behavior plans within CMSD classrooms.

Responsibilities include adapting to individual student needs, participating in district initiatives, and maintaining materials and safety protocols while supporting inclusive education

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Ohio Educational Aide Permit required.
• Para Pro Assessment or Para Educator network competence.

Responsibilities

• Becomes familiar with District initiatives including The Cleveland Plan and Academic Achievement Plans.
• Adapts to the individual social, emotional and academic needs of the students.
• Respects and disciplines students with structured, equitable classroom management.
• Reinforces students as directed by the teacher in academic tasks and social skills.
• Assists the teacher in implementing behavior management programs.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Associates Degree preferred

Ohio Educational Aide Permit required

Para Pro Assessment or Para Educator network competence
