Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associates Degree or 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours or Para Pro Assessment passed
• Ohio Educational Aide Permit required
• STNA Certification preferred
• Evidence of good health, vitality and enthusiasm

Responsibilities

• Becomes familiar with District initiatives
• Adapts to the individual social, emotional and academic needs of the students
• Respects and disciplines students with structure, equity and consistency
• Supports the teacher in implementing behavior management programs
• Reinforces students as directed by the teacher in academic tasks or social skills
• Assists the teacher with preparation and collection of materials
• Maintains materials and equipment in good condition
• Performs other routine duties as assigned by principal
• Participates as a member of a team

Education

High school diploma or GED
