Job summary

Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support students with special needs at Baumgardner Middle School. You will assist teachers and counselors in implementing remedial and enrichment activities and help meet instructional goals.

The role offers full-time hours during the school year, with a schedule across middle and elementary levels and requires appropriate educational credentials and strong interpersonal and office skills.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of college coursework or an associate degree or higher.
• High school diploma with ParaPro assessment is acceptable for employment.
• Minimum of one year of related work experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment (copiers).
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and perform essential functions.
• Active Educational Aide Permit or Ohio teaching license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers, counselors and administrators in providing educational services to students with special needs.
• Support remedial, enrichment and independent living activities and instructional goals.
