Job summary

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District is seeking an Elementary School Parapro to assist teachers, counselors and administrators in supporting students with special needs at Noble Elementary School.

This full-time role requires 7.0 hours per day, 195 days per year, with hours 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM, Monday to Friday. Minimum qualifications include 2 years of college coursework or an associate degree, or a high school diploma with ParaPro, plus one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years of college coursework or an Associate's Degree or higher.
• High school diploma with ParaPro assessment or Ohio teaching license.
• One year of related work experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience operating basic office equipment (copiers).
• Ability to lift equipment, supplies and/or children up to 40 pounds.
• Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
• Educational Aide Permit or teaching license issued by Ohio DOE.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers, counselors and administrators in providing educational services to students with special needs.
• Support instructional and educational goals with remedial, enrichment and independent living activities.
• Help manage classroom activities and daily routines for students.
