Job summary

Memspa is seeking a Special Education LRE Paraprofessional for Green Elementary in Michigan. The role supports the classroom teacher in delivering instructional materials and assisting students with individualized support.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of college credit or an associates degree and can communicate effectively with staff and students. The position is full-time with a reported salary of $17.89 per hour and requires a passion for helping at-risk learners.

Qualifications

• Two years of college credit, an associates degree or passage of a State approved test required.
• Michigan teaching certificate preferred.
• Ability to assist the classroom instructor with the development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate and work with individual classroom instructors.
• Experience working with students.
• Ability to assist academically at-risk students in a classroom setting and in a individual tutoring.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
