Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a dedicated instructional assistant in Chesterfield Charter Township, MI to support teachers in developing and delivering learning materials and activities. The role emphasizes strong communication, experience with students, and tutoring at-risk learners in classroom and one-on-one settings.

The candidate should have two years of college credit or an associate degree, or pass a state test; teaching certification is preferred. PTO and retirement plan provided.

Qualifications

• Two years of college credit, an associates degree or passage of a State approved test required.
• Michigan teaching certificate preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to assist academically at-risk students in a classroom setting and in a individual tutoring.
• Experience working with students.
• Ability to assist the classroom instructor with the development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
