Job Description

JOB GOAL:To work with students with ASD and/or emotional needs within the general education environment or in a sub-separate classroom.

• 1.Works with elementary students with special needs and supports them in instructional and non-instructional settings, as directed by the special education teacher.
• 2.Assist with peer interactions during unstructured times during the school day, i.e. recess, lunch.
• 3. Communicate with general education teachers any special information they need to know.
• 4. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about the students as is expected of a fully licensed teacher.
• 5. Perform related duties as directed by the building principal and/or the Director of Special Education.
