Job summary

Somerset Berkley Regional High School in Somerset, Massachusetts, is seeking a 1:1 Special Education Paraprofessional to work with a student with special needs, support instructional and non-instructional activities, and reinforce learning under the direction of the special education teacher.

Key duties include communicating with general education teachers, maintaining confidentiality, and carrying out assigned tasks from the building principal and Director of Special Education.

Qualifications

  • TITLE: SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAPROFESSIONAL- ONE TO ONE
  • QUALIFICATIONS: AS Degree or 48 Undergraduate Credit hours or Passing grade on the Para Pro or other State Assessment for Paraprofessionals
  • Background in Special Education preferred or willingness to participate in training
  • Experience working with students with emotional and learning needs
  • ASD Experience/Safety care ASD
  • REPORTS TO: Principal
  • TERMS OF: In accordance with the existing bargaining agreement with the Somerset EMPLOYMENTParaprofessional Bargaining Unit
  • SALARY: In accordance with the existing bargaining agreement with the Somerset Paraprofessional Bargaining Unit.
