Job summary

Roaring Fork School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for Basalt Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will assist teachers with instruction and classroom management under direction, support students with IEP goals, and supervise learners in various settings throughout the school day.

The role includes daily collaboration with teachers, case managers, and school staff to ensure a productive learning environment and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Paraprofessional test or associate's degree preferred or required.
• Basic computer literacy and keyboarding skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support under teacher direction and assist with instruction and classroom management.
• Assist in enforcing classroom rules and maintaining a productive environment.
• Supervise students in hallways, lunchrooms, playgrounds, and during assemblies.
• Proctor tests and prepare instructional materials as directed by the teacher.
• Monitor student progress and communicate updates to teachers and parents.
