Job summary

Roaring Fork School District is seeking a Paraprofessional to assist classroom teachers and providers with supervision and instruction in accordance with students' IEPs. The role involves supporting classroom instruction, maintaining a productive learning environment, and covering classes when needed.

Responsibilities include small group and one-on-one instruction, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of classroom management and standards-based education.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and speech.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills and office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all areas of the classroom under teacher direction and help manage the learning environment.
• Support teacher with class rules and behavior expectations; assist with supervising students.
• Cover classes when needed and assist with instructional materials and small group or individual instruction.
• Proctor tests and monitor student progress; communicate progress to students, parents, teachers and administrators.
• Support students with medical needs and daily living tasks under supervision when required.
