Zusammenfassung

Vail School District seeks a Classroom Paraprofessional to help teachers prepare materials, supervise students, and provide individualized instruction per IEPs. You will assist with lesson plans, organize instructional materials, and maintain student records under supervision.

Responsibilities include implementing life skills and behavior plans, supporting therapy as described in IEPs, and assisting in field trips and on-campus activities.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required upon hire.

Aufgaben

• Assist in development of student's IEP.
• Implement daily lesson plans including academic, social, and functional activities as indicated in the IEP.
• Organize material and provide direct student instruction from lesson plans.
• Maintain records and files for assigned student(s).
• Provide IEP goal attainment evaluations.
• Assist classroom teacher as time permits.
• Design, implement, and enforce behavior management plans.
• Provide physical assistance to assigned students as needed.
• Support activities during school hours on campus or offsite (field trips, assemblies, playground).
• Provide life skill assistance as described in the IEP.
• Follow proper techniques for handling and moving students; assist in therapy as instructed.
