Job summary

Springfield Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support a small caseload of students with moderate to severe needs. You will implement rigorous academic and behavior interventions and work closely with families and teachers to drive student success.

Qualifications

• A high-school diploma or GED is required.
• Sixty college credits or an Associate’s Degree or equivalent.
• Passing scores on ParaPro or WorkKeys assessments required.

Responsibilities

• Support a small caseload of students under supervision of a special educator.
• Implement rigorous academic and behavior intervention systems.
• Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations for students.
• Aid student mastery of state, city, and school standards.
• Lead daily tutoring sessions, individually and in small groups.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
