Job summary

27J Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to provide direct academic and behavioral support for students with severe disabilities. You will modify materials, consult with teachers, and assist with life skills and personal care as delegated by the School Nurse.

Responsibilities include data collection, maintaining records, and collaborating with the special education team to implement consistent routines and behavior plans across classrooms and activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with students with social/emotional disabilities preferred.
• Must pass a post-offer physical and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and academic support for students with disabilities.
• Implement IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans under supervision.
• Assist teachers and support student safety and daily routines.
• Maintain student records and data for progress tracking.
• Deter disruptive behavior using approved CPI procedures.
