Responsibilities

• Support instructional program in assigned classrooms and assist in supervising, caring for, and instructing special needs students.
• Provide information to school personnel and attend IEP meetings.
• Adapt activities and materials to reinforce IEP goals and objectives.
• Administer tests, homework, and make-up work to support teachers.
• Assist medically fragile students with daily needs and hygiene.
• Confer with teachers on student progress and implement IEP objectives.
• Monitor students for safety and manage behavior within non-classroom times.
• Maintain records and assist with data collection and file management.
• Provide instruction in small and large groups as directed by the teacher.
