Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of educational services under the direction of a certified teacher to meet instructional goals and objectives.
• Assist students in achieving academic success.
• Follow directives of the special education teacher or related services personnel.
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students.
• Monitor students' behavior for the special education teacher.
• Prepare materials for instruction.
• Assist in remediation programs.
• Supervise non-instructional areas (lunch, bus duty, playground).
• Follow district policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Services, building principal or superintendent.
