Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Paraeducator for Special Education in Minnesota. This full-time position supports instruction for students with disabilities in mainstream, resource, or center-based settings and requires certification within 30 days of start.

Minimum credentials include 60 credits or an associate degree or higher, or passing the ParaEducator/ParaPro exam. Candidates should have strong communication, interpersonal, and recordkeeping skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; ParaEducator certification due within 30 days.
• 60 semester credits/90 quarter credits or an associate degree (or higher) or have passed the ParaEducator/ParaPro exam.
• Good communications, interpersonal and recordkeeping skills; ability to work with technology and computers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the instruction of students with disabilities in various settings.
• Monitor and record student progress in academics, daily living skills, dressing, grooming, social skills.
• Manage behavior and supervise students; assist with personal cares as needed; maintain regular attendance.
