Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or 48 college credits with required scores.
• Paraprofessional exam options: ParaPro 455+, ParaPathways scores, or Foundations 517/519 with required scores.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be trained in and perform restraint techniques.
• Ability to lift and transfer students up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students during instruction and implement lesson plans with individuals or small groups.
• Assist with data collection, testing, and student assessment.
• Help implement IEPs/IFSPs for students as placement allows.
• Monitor behavior and apply behavioral strategies and interventions.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with school-wide duties.
• Support students via digital platforms for instruction and assessments.
• Perform other duties (in-person and virtual) as assigned.
