Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree or higher or 60 college credits.
• “Highly Qualified” status through ParaEducator or ParaPro exam.
• Candidates who do not meet criteria must pass the ParaEducator exam within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support and monitor students in classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, and transitions to ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Provide observations, maintain student data logs, and prepare instructional materials.
• Assist with implementation of student programs and IEP accommodations or behavior plans.
• Assist with personal care needs of individual students while ensuring dignity and safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and FERPA compliance.
• Collaborate with supervising teachers, special education staff, and administration on student progress.
